On the second day of January, after an urban walk, a great lunch, and a mental backpack full of gratitude I recognized that my self-reflection has become my self-propellant. Some hard truths need to be examined to become the best version of yourself. It is okay to start somewhere. It is okay to begin with one extra glass of water, one extra pushup, one extra walk a week, one extra book a month… One extra anything in the right direction is still one extra step in the right direction. I had to start from a place where I was lost in anxiety, unsurety (yes I know, it’s not a word but uncertainty and insecurity make it one), and just not knowing what to do. I was struggling with my mental health and negativity was often on my mind.
Today, things are very different. The glass is full. I made my life go from passive to active by trying to be more active in all the areas of my life. I move more, I read more, I meet new people, I constantly learn, I am vulnerable with my feelings but I am in no way, shape, or form, am weak. I found strength in the most interesting of places. I experienced new avenues for ideas and creativity. If you feel like you are stuck in one area of your life – it does not mean you have to be stuck in all of them. This year and through this blog, I will continue to experiment with all the things that I love, what brings me joy, and profit. It’s a new year, it’s a new start!
My goal for this year is to go even further from passive to active. I used to think that if you do too much you won’t be good at anything… turns out the more you do the better you become at everything else.
Everyone’s success story is different and I want to see where this one takes me.
Within next few posts, I will write how joining a direct sales company helped me build skills I didn’t know I needed in life.
Thanks for joining me on this journey in 2021! Xoxo, Daria
